Helping Faith Leaders Navigate the Maze of Aging Services(Faith101) Connecting Older Adults and Families with the Support They Need When older adults and their families face challenges related to aging, caregiving, disability, or unexpected crises, faith leaders are often among the first people they turn to for guidance. Knowing where to find reliable information and appropriate services can make a meaningful difference. Helping Faith Leaders Navigate the Maze of Aging Services equips clergy, chaplains, ministry leaders, and community professionals with practical tools to navigate the complex network of aging-related resources and support services. Offered fully online in an asynchronous format, the course allows participants to learn at their own pace, on their own schedule. Using an accessible House of Support framework, this six-module course introduces national and local referral networks, including the Eldercare Locator, DIAL, 211, and Area Agencies on Aging. Participants will explore resources for aging in place, home accessibility, caregiver respite, Medicare-related financial assistance, and elder abuse reporting. By the end of the course, participants will have developed a practical office referral directory and a clearer understanding of how to connect older adults and their families with appropriate services when they need them most.
